GOD AND GIRL
High school student Eva is excited (and a little terrified) for her first-ever March For Life Trip to Washington D.C. It is her first time on an overnight trip away from home, away from her mom, and surrounded by the people she only goes to school with. But the March isn't the only thing on her mind. Her long-time crush, Mason, is also on the trip, and Eva is determined to make a connection with him before the trip is over. But as soon as they get to Washington, D.C., a lot seems to go wrong. Not only is Eva rooming with high school “it girls” Keri and Maddie, but the March itself seems to take a turn for the worse, making the students question and grapple with everything they thought they knew. To help her navigate it all is Eva's confidant, God, herself. GOD AND GIRL is a story about young adulthood and how we navigate difficult topics when no one seems to have the answers. It is a story about sex, shame, motherhood, girlhood, and of course, what it means to choose. It's a love letter to my adolescent self, to you, and maybe even to God.
"It is rare to find work that so perfectly meets the moment. [God and Girl] truly invites thoughtful conversation." - Lynn Nottage, Columbia University Professor and Pulitzer Prize Winning Playwright
